Women Culinary Leadership -Msanzi International Culinary Festival

Monique joins line-up of 10 International and National Chefs at the Msanzi International Culinary Festival 7-10 August 2014, Tshwane, South Africa

The Mzansi International Culinary Festival seeks to celebrate the culinary expertise of female chefs from across the globe i.e. Europe, Americas, Africa and Asia.

The Festival also aims to spearhead Women Culinary Leadership, Women SMME Development, Skills Development and Skills Transfer, Mentorship, Economic Development and Women Empowerment, transformation of the industry, as well as Food preservation and Innovation.

Celebrating the Culinary Scene Holistically

The Mzansi International Culinary Festival is a festival that will celebrate the culinary scene holistically; providing workshops for female students in the hospitality industry, lectures by renowned female chefs, media mogul and businesswomen; a gala dinner as well as a fiesta for food enthusiasts.

This inaugural eventis scheduled to take place over Women’s Month from 7-10 August 2014. The Mzansi International Culinary Festival will be a 4-day food fest, fusing the great tastes and riches of the African and international culinary scene.

Women Chefs from Around the World

Monique is participating in the event with women chefs from around the world including Darina Allen, Principal of the Ballymaloe Cookery School, Janice Wong of Singapore, Lorraine Pascale, Rougui Dai holder of 1 Michelin star at her restaurant in Paris, Joy Samake, Ska Mirriam Moteane, Xoliswa Ndoyiya, Siphephisiwe Ncube chef to President Nelson Mandela and Alicia Wilkinson founder of the Silwood Kitchen in Cape Town.
